Nursery Class Teacher - Mrs Forbes

Hello! My name is Mrs Forbes and I am the nursery teacher with Miss Aylward.

I have 2 daughters who keep me very busy. We enjoy going on bike rides, swimming and visiting new parks with a picnic! When I’m not busy with them I enjoy playing netball and watching my favourite football team, Manchester City.

I enjoy reading and I love sharing books with my children. My favourite book to read to them is “The Tiger Who Came to Tea” by Judith Kerr.  We even watched it at the theatre which was brilliant!

Nursery Class Teacher - Miss Aylward

Hello, I am Miss Aylward and I have worked at Our Lady’s for over 15 years. I am excited to be joining Mrs Forbes in our beautiful nursery setting, where I know we’re all going to share a fun year of learning and adventure together.

I also have two little girlies at home. As a family, we love to spend time outdoors and exploring new places. This always includes a coffee and cake pitstop!

I am a big Liverpool FC supporter, and I love to be creative through crafting and making things. My favourite book is, “A Squash and a Squeeze” by Julia Donaldson. Did you know this was her first ever book and actually started as a song? I love how it reminds us, in such a silly way, that a change of perspective can make all the difference when things feel tricky.

As a school, we have established a list of 5 books for your child to read before they are 5:
Supertato by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet
Stickman by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Welcome to the World Angel Baby by Gillian Shields and Nathan Reed
Goldilocks and the Three Bears by ‘My very First Story Time.

We will begin our homework menu in Autumn 2.
